7 Ways to Pray – November
Hello, I’m Andy Coulson, and it’s 30th October 2026. Welcome to your 7 ways to pray for SAT-7 and the Middle East and North Africa this November.
If, like me, you grew up in the UK, you’ll have been trained from a young age to “remember, remember the fifth of November”. But there are two other special dates worth remembering this month too: World Children’s Day on the 20th, followed by World Television Day on the 21st.
Bringing these two important days together, this month’s edition of 7 ways to pray invites you to pray for children’s television in the Middle East. We’ll be reflecting on the important role TV can play in sharing the love of Jesus with children – and praying for the programmes and people working to make that possible.
Keep listening for your seven ways to pray for SAT-7 and the Middle East this November. You can read more about all of today’s stories at the links in the show notes.
1. HOPE FOR DISPLACED CHILDREN
After months of war and displacement in Lebanon, SAT-7 brought hope to children through six community events, reaching over 3,000 people with fun, fellowship and the message of Christ’s love.
An event at a Lebanese Baptist Church in July was especially memorable. Around 90 children, mostly from internally displaced Lebanese families along with local Syrian refugees and children from the surrounding community, took part. They had heard that something good was happening and had come to see for themselves.
What followed was an afternoon of fun and faith featuring songs, stories, games and a football-themed skit called ‘Chaos Cup’, exploring unity within the body of Christ despite difference.
For a few hours, children who had experienced displacement, uncertainty and conflict were given permission simply to be children.
Juliana Sfeir, SAT-7’s Arabic Public Engagement Manager, shared: “What struck me most was how thirsty the children were for the word of God, for hope, for the simple sense that someone loves them.”
Pray that displaced children will continue to experience God’s peace, security and hope, and that SAT-7’s team and local church partners will be strengthened to reach more communities.
2. NEW PROGRAMMES FOR PERSIAN YOUTH
SAT-7 PARS is launching three new programmes for Persian-speaking children and teenagers in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, offering Bible stories, fun activities and safe spaces to explore identity, emotions, relationships and faith.
Pray that these programmes will bring hope and encouragement to Persian young people, and deepen their understanding of God’s love.
3. WORSHIP SHOW GOES ON THE ROAD
SAT-7 KIDS recently took its live worship programme I Dwell in Him to children and families in Egypt’s remote villages, bringing them together to praise God, hear biblical teaching and pray for children facing health challenges.
Pray that SAT-7’s outreach will strengthen young people’s faith and help them experience God’s presence and hope wherever they are.
4. VIDEO CHALLENGE INSPIRES FAITH
Give thanks that a SAT-7 KIDS video challenge is inspiring positive and faith-filled activities. More than 200 short videos have been submitted by children, sharing activities such as memorising Bible verses, making prayer boxes, sharing messages of kindness and singing worship songs.
Pray that this video challenge will deepen children’s faith, and help SAT-7 create content that better meets their needs.
5. FAYSAL IN EGYPT
Give thanks that popular children’s programme Jesus is Our Strength has returned after a summer break. Faysal, a young boy from Egypt, was especially excited by the show’s return:
“I was so, so happy when I noticed that Jesus Our Strength is live and back again. I missed you so much – all this time I have been rewatching old episodes and waiting for you to return.”
6. NAHID IN IRAN
Give thanks that SAT-7’s programmes are nurturing children’s faith throughout their formative years.
Nahid, a teenager from Iran, shared: “I am very happy that I have been with you all these years. I have been with you since I was 6 years old until now when I am 15, and I have learned a lot of new things from you all these years. I love you very much and I am happy that you are here.”
7. JOURI IN EGYPT
Pray that as parents watch SAT-7’s kids shows with their children, they too will experience the love of God.
Jouri, a mother from Egypt, shared: “This episode encouraged me greatly, and the Lord encouraged me to keep going with faith while waiting upon the Lord, feeling very strong and rejoicing in Him.”
So, there are your 7 ways to pray this month. Will you join me in remembering the children of the Middle East this November? Let’s take a moment to pray now.
Father in heaven,
Thank you that you never forget each one of us, but that you remember each child in the Middle East and North Africa and know them by name. Thank you that through television, they are experiencing your love and finding hope.
We lift up all the displaced children who found fun and joy through SAT-7’s events in Lebanon in recent weeks. Please continue to grow your joy in their lives.
We thank you for new programmes for Persian youth, and for fun initiatives on SAT-7 that help children engage with faith through singing, games and fun.
Thank you for the programme Jesus is Our Strength, which makes such an impression in young lives. Please be close to the presenters and all who work on the programme as they teach children to walk in step with you.
We give thanks that so many children watch SAT-7’s children’s programmes throughout their childhoods. Please build in them a strong foundation of faith that will last for the rest of their lives.
And finally, we thank you for the parents who watch SAT-7’s programmes alongside their children. We pray that the content will also build and nurture their faith with the simple truths of the Gospel.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
